Dear Parent, 

 

 Hi! My name is Janice Skinner. Since I am your child’s first grade teacher I would like to tell you a little about myself. 

 

I have been teaching for twenty-three years.  I have taught kindergarten, first grade and Reading Recovery. My husband, Eric, retired five years ago after teaching 27 years. The last 13 years he taught 6th grade right here at South Newton. He often substitute teaches here at the elementary school. He even subs for me from time to time. We have three children: Mallory and Gabe and Lonnie who are grown and on their own.
