Classroom Behavior Plan

Establishing good classroom discipline is essential to each child’s success, confidence, and well-being. Every child should feel that the classroom environment is safe and secure; free from all threats of physical or emotional harm. In addition, it is important that each child learn to develop self-discipline

and good work habits, to resolve conflicts peacefully, and to think independently. Our class will be using a clip chart behavior system. When a student misbehaves, he/she will be required to move their clip down. Students can be asked to move their clip up to acknowledge their exceptional behavior. There are also some situations such as: physically fighting, foul language or gestures, or endangering

themselves or others that will result in immediate referral to the principal. Our first grade team is currently working on a reporting system so that parents are informed of their child’s behavior at school.
