Ways to keep us informed.
SN is a very busy place. There are many procedures that keep us running smoothly throughout the day. Here are some ways that you can help us help keep your child's day a happy one.
Transportation
If there is ever a time that your child’s transportation home would change, it is very important that you notify the office before 2:00 p.m. or send me a note. This will insure your child receives a bus pass to confirm their change in transportation for the day. If I do not receive a bus pass from the office, your child will be sent home by his or her usual method of transportation.
Folders
Your child will have a Wednesday folder that they will bring home each Wednesday night. This folder will come home with important papers from the School Corporation and our classroom. Your student will also bring home one folder each night. This is a way that we can maintain a strong parent teacher communication. Please send any notes or money in their folders. The student needs to bring their folder to school each day and return their Wednesday folder each Thursday morning.
Notes from Home
Please make sure when sending in notes that you include your child’s name. If you are sending in money please enclose it in an envelope along with your child’s name. This helps eliminate any confusion and/or loss of money. The students will begin each day by turning in their folders so it is essential that anything sent from home is placed in your child’s folder.
Attendance
Your child’s regular and prompt attendance at school is crucial to his or her success! Many of our activities are group oriented and involve classroom manipulatives. Therefore, it is difficult for them to make up this work. If you child needs to be absent from school you need to call the office that morning to make them aware of your child’s absence.
